PANO – The awarding ceremony of the International Challenge Vietnam triathlon 2016 was held on September 11 in Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa province).
The contest included three events: swimming (1.9km), running (21km) and cycling (90km), with the participation of more than 300 athletes from 31 countries, including 51 Vietnamese athletes.

Athletes finishing the competition at the required times were eligible to receive medals.
Accordingly, Mitchell Robins (Australia) and Jessica Fleming (Sweden) won first prizes in the men’s and women’s professional run categories. It took them 4:04:44 hours and 4:42:44 hours, respectively, to finish the race. In the amateur run categories for both men and women, first prizes went to Jose Jeuland (France) with a time of 4:45:39 hours and Clair Hawkins (Australia) at 5:16:53 hours. Two Vietnamese athletes, Nguyen Thu and Nguyen Thi Gia Hue finished the race at 5:55:33 hours and 6:23:24 hours, respectively.
Each first prize professional winner received VND 67 million. Four leading amateur athletes will be eligible to take part in the Challenge Roth competition in Germany in August next year.
