Apart from dances and songs praising the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the spectators watched documentaries on the establishment and development of the Party as well as Vietnam’s achievements under the leadership of the Party over the past years.
A performance at the program
Formed on February 3, 1930, under the sound leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam gained its independence and made considerable changes. In 1946, the Vietnamese people for the first time exercised their voting right. In 1954, the success of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign drove the French colonists out of the country. With the motto, "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom,” the whole nation successfully liberated the South and reunified the country in 1975. Furthermore, achievements in the “Doi moi” (renewal) period helped raise the position and prestige of Vietnam on the international arena.
In peacetime, the Vietnamese people boost social activities to pay gratitude to former generations who shed their blood to gain the national independence and freedom, making contributions to developing the nation, defending peace, national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Addressing the event, Major General Pham Van Huan, PAN’s Editor-in-Chief, said that the program was a chance for people to pay tribute to the Party and beloved Uncle Ho and raise their trust in the leadership of the Party.
The spectators showed their absolute trust in the leadership of the Party and expressed their confidence that under its leadership, Vietnam will further develop and deeply integrate into the world. They hoped that the whole Party and nation will unite to foster the renewal process and the national construction and defense cause.
Nguyen Thi Van Anh, a student from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, considered the program a golden chance for youths to learn more about the contributions and important role of the Party, so they would raise their awareness of and responsibilities for constructing and steadily defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
At the program, the organizers granted gifts to seven military and public security units on duty during the upcoming Tet. PAN and “Thien Tam” (kind heart) Fund under VinGroup handed over more than 1,000 gifts, totaling VND 525 million, to policy beneficiaries, national contributors, and needy people from Central provinces and Cao Bang.
More social activities will be conducted in different localities in the coming time by the PAN.
