PANO – On the evening of July 16th, the Vietnam Veterans’ Association and the Business Association of Vietnam Veterans held an artistic performance and exchange program named “Tribute to comrades-in-arm – Forever resounding marching songs” in the presence of the National Assemby Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and other Party and defense leaders.
Upholding the morality of “when drinking water, remembering its source,” over the past five years, under the support of the Vietnam Veterans’ Association, the Business Association of Vietnam Veterans have attracted the participation of a large number of veterans nationwide. Promoting the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, apart from exchanging experience in doing business, veteran-businessmen have held gratitude activities to pay tribute to their comrades-in-arms, building more than 3,000 gratitude houses and supporting children of their comrades-in-arms with job and study opportunities.
At the event, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan presented flowers to Vietnam heroic mothers and memorial medals to entrepreneurs who are veterans. The artistic performance consisting of songs and dances recalled hard time of the nation, paying tribute to outstanding people who sacrificed their lives for the national independence and freedom.
