During the event, many interesting activities were held. In addition to the Canoe Boat Racing Festival, visitors also have a chance to join Gong Culture Festival and other art exchange programs.

Gong Culture Festival

According to Director of Ia Grai district’s Center for Culture, Information and Sports Le Thi Phuong Loan, this year’s festival attracted the participation of 30 teams. Meanwhile, all 13 communes of the districts join the Gong Culture Festival. In the framework of the event, the organizing panel also launches local agricultural stall with a variety of typical local products. Neighboring localities such as districts of Duc Co (Gia Lai) and Ia Hdrai (Kon Tum) also joins this year’s events.

The program aims to preserve the unique cultural values of the locals, especially the ethnic minorities, who have invented rudimentary and unique means of production, especially canoes as a means of transport, fishing on the river for a living.

Via the program, Ia Grai district also wants to introduce attractive destinations of the locality, and two historic relic sites, which are Chu Nghe Victory relic site (Ia Krai commune) and A Sanh Wharf relic site (Ia Khai commune).

The third Po Co River Canoe Boat Racing Festival and the Gong Culture Festival are also an opportunity for the border district of Ia Grai to introduce its image of hospitability and attractiveness to visitors.
