15th Vietnam’s National Radio Festival 2022 opens
PANO - The Vietnam’s 15th National Radio Festival 2022 opened in Ho Chi Minh City on August 4.

This year’s event attracted the participation of over 800 delegates from 86 press agencies, with 203 entries entering the final round.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee Phan Van Mai noted that a year ago, the city and many southern localities were facing COVID-19 outbreak. During social distancing period, press agencies disseminated information in all corners, contributing to the pandemic prevention and control.
Addressing the event, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated authors of 203 outstanding works entering the final round. He also underscored that during the fourth industrial revolution, the Voice of Vietnam and the Vietnamese radio service need to constantly innovate thinking, while continue studying new methods to flexibly transform and adapt to the current situation; promptly performing its role as a dissemination service of the Party and State, a forum for all classes of people and an effective channel for social criticism.

In addition, radio agencies need to actively participate in and implement the Government’s digital transformation project, not only in terms of technology but also mindset and leadership.
As scheduled, the festival, themed “Flexible Transformation - Beyond Adaption,” will conclude at 20:00 on August 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.
