13 ethnic minority groups to join “Summer Flavors” program
PANO - The Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will host the “Summer Flavors” program, with the participation of nearly 100 people from 13 ethnic minority groups of Tay, Dao, H’Mong, Thai, Muong, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Co Tu, Ba Na, Xo Dang, RagLai, E De and Khmer across the country.

These cultural activities will create a playground for young visitors, so they will improve their responsibility for the community and learn more about valuable cultural identities and traditional customs of the local ethnic minority people.
Highlights of the program are exhibitions on children’s activities, including handwriting contests, painting competitions, and folk games.
Besides, tourists will have chance to tour and experience traditional musical instruments, participate in folk games of ethnic minority people, partake in reading and more.
The organizing panel will also introduce traditional weaving crafts of ethnic minority people so as to further popularize this unique process of making clothes.
At the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, representatives of all ethnic minority groups are still preserving and developing the quintessence of their traditional crafts, contributing to preserving their cultural heritages.
On weekends in July, visitors can also join culinary festivals with special dishes such as forest honey, pollen, coffee, cocoa ... of the E De ethnic group; Tet cake, coconut cake of the Khmer people; love cake of the Ta Oi ethnic group, and more.
