Addressing the event, Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Theoretical Council and President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) Nguyen Xuan Thang said the workshop offered a great opportunity for the two sides to clarify emerging theoretical and practical issues stated in documents of the 13th National Congress of the CPV and the 11th National Congress of the LPRP. In addition, it helped both sides share experience, bolster mutual understanding to further deepen the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, states and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

An overview of the event

On behalf of the LPRP delegation, Chairman of the LPRP Central Committee’s Theoretical Council and head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Khamphanh Pheuyavong held that the resolution of the 11th Congress of the LPRP is the combination of the efforts of whole Lao Party and people, reaffirming the leadership role of the Party over the 66 years in the development of the socialism in Laos.

At the event, Vietnamese and Lao scientists shared viewpoints on theoretical and practical matters as well as other issues of mutual concern.

Within the framework of the workshop, representatives of the two sides signed a cooperation agreement for the 2022-2026 period.
