Vietnam and Cambodia to boost ties
PANO - A delegation from the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association, Hoa Hao - Medic Can Tho General Hospital and other Can Tho-based businesses recently visited Cambodia to boost the solidarity and multifaceted cooperation between Can Tho city of Vietnam and Cambodia.
The visit also aimed to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties (June 24, 1967-2019).

From June 21 to 24, the delegation met with General Hun Manet, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and Commander of the Army; General Sao Sokha, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the RCAF and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Gendarmerie. It also worked with the Cambodia-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
Especially, during the visit, doctors from Hoa Hao - Medic Can Tho General Hospital and Thi Da Voluntary Doctors’ Association provided free health check-ups, counseling, medicines and gifts for nearly 2,500 needy people in Prey Kabbas district, Takeo province.
Besides, Vietnamese doctors offered them ultrasound, X-ray, electrocardiogram and dental treatment, as well as tests on blood sugar, cholesterol level, uric acid, hepatitis A and B.
On the occasion, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association and Hoa Hao - Medic Can Tho General Hospital presented a 300KWA generator worth more than US $27,000 to the Cambodian Army Command and another 100KVA generator, valued at US $11,870 to the Development Department of Cambodia.
