At the event, the Hanoi official confirmed that Hanoi always considers Vientiane its traditional partner. He expressed his hope that Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem district and Vientiane’s Chantabuly district will discuss and agree on future cooperation contents in the direction of promoting their potential and strengths. These include cultural industry coupled with tourism and service and trade; human resources, exchange of teachers, sharing of school management experience, models and methods; and digital transformation in governance system building.

Stressing that these are fields that Hoan Kiem district has reaped remarkable outcomes, the deputy party secretary of Hanoi suggested leaders of Chanthabuly district continue to study cooperation memorandums of understanding, and actively make proposals on cooperation fields based on real needs.

For his part, Party Secretary and Mayor of Chanthabuly district Duangta Soulivong highly appreciated the host’s suggestions. He also spoke highly of Hanoi’s leadership’s attention to strengthening the cooperative ties between the two localities through their directions and sharing. He promised to constantly promote this relationship to gain the highest efficiency.
