Loc requested the municipal war veterans association to work with related agencies and units to foster collaboration with the Vientiane counterpart toward practical outcomes, contributing to solidarity and friendship between the two nations.

Commending joint activities of the two associations so far, the leader suggested the sides step up coordination and exchanges of views and experiences related to their operations, particularly in helping veterans get out of poverty and earn sustainable livelihoods.

Expressing his gratitude for the Ho Chi Minh City authorities' facilitation of the associations mutual cooperation and support, Phalom Linthong said they share similarities in their missions of protecting their parties and states as well as of assisting their members.

The Lao side wants to learn from the experience of and get support from its Ho Chi Minh City counterpart regarding the building of a sustainable organization and its funds, development of veteran-owned enterprises, and poverty reduction assistance for members.
