China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have signed a memorandum of understanding to boost cooperation in telecommunications and information technology (ICT).
The document was signed at the close of the 13th ASEAN Telecommunications and IT Ministers Meeting and related meetings in Singapore on November 15.
Under the MoU, the two parties will work together on areas such as promoting advertising, human resources and infrastructure development, as well as cooperation in new technologies and information exchange.
China is one of the first dialogue partners to work with ASEAN in the information technology and telecommunications industry.
