Vietnam requests Taiwan to stop illegal drills on Truong Sa’s Ba Binh island

Responding to the press' question on this issue on June 11, Hang stressed that Taiwan’s staging of live-fire drills around Ba Binh has seriously infringed upon Vietnam's territorial sovereignty over the archipelago, threatening peace, stability, and navigation security and safety, causing tensions and complicating the situation in the East Sea.

She reiterated that Vietnam has sufficient historical evidence and legal basis to assert its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa archipelagos in accordance with international law.
