Three hundred and fifty kilometers from Hanoi and at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level, Y Ty is a mountainous ethnic and cloudy village with floating clouds and foggy layers. To visit Y Ty, visitors have to spend some time traveling. From Hanoi to Lao Cai, visitors can travel by train or by motorbike. Traveling by motorbike is highly recommended as it helps visitors travel whenever or wherever they want to. Besides, traveling by motorbike is very interesting to enjoy the road to the mountainous area.

There are two ways to reach Y Ty. One can start from Lao Cai, through Lung Po via Trinh Tuong where the Red River enters Vietnam from China, going past A Mu Sung before arriving in Y Ty. The road is challenging and not easy for even hardened bikers. Another way is from Sa Pa to Muong Hum market, Den Thang to Y Ty. This path is easier; motorbikes and cars can travel with caution on a slippery road and sharp bends. In the photo: A cliff where visitors always take photos
