        Tra Su ‘indigo forest’ in flooding season
    
        
            
                PANO –  The most spectacular time to visit Tra Su is in flooding season between July and the end of November every year.
        
        
        
            During  this period, tourists often flock understandably to Tra Su to enjoy the green and peaceful ‘indigo forest’.
Located in Van Giao commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province, Tra Su is a typical marshland of the Southern region with a unique ecosystem and biodiversity, deeply impressing most foreign visitors.
 
Approximately 950 hectares of  Tra Su is known in all of the country for its co-called  ‘indigo forest’ 
 
The place attracts many foreign visitors 
 
The water surface is invariably covered by duckweeds 
 
Along the sides of the road are lotus ponds and lush green trees 
 
Countless species of birds such as storks, herons, teals, rails, crakes, etc. perch on branches or fly over. Tra Su is the home to about 70 bird species 
 
It also attracts many scientists for research and study
