Vietnam, Laos, Thailand boost tourism cooperation
Quang Tri province of Vietnam, Savannakhet province of Laos and Mukdahan province of Thailand have agreed to boost their tourism cooperation at a conference in Dong Ha town in the central province of Quang Tri on July 29.

Quang Tri province of Vietnam, Savannakhet province of Laos and Mukdahan province of Thailand have agreed to boost their tourism cooperation at a conference in Dong Ha town in the central province of Quang Tri on July 29.
This conference is part of the third Trans-Asia Bridge Span Festival that takes place in Quang Tri province from July 28-30.
The agreement aims to facilitate entry and exist activities at international border gates, increase the management of travel agencies’ tourism transport, promote the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) tourism logo and jointly develop tourism.
At the conference, delegates from the three countries also agreed to expand tourism cooperation with localities on the EWEC and the Mekong sub-region.
They reviewed the implementation of the agreements reached at the previous conference, the reform of import-export and entry-exist procedures and the simplification of administrative procedures as well as mapped out tourism development strategies.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chinh said that the Lao Bao International Border Gate in Quang Tri province welcomed more than 305,000 passengers in the first half of the year.
