Da Nang is one of the most popular destinations for this April 30 - May 1 holiday.

Just over three hours by expressway from Hanoi, Sam Son is attracting visitors with the vibrant opening event of the Sam Son Sea Tourism Festival 2026, expected to begin on the evening of April 25 at Sam Son Beach Square. Entertainment experiences will also be expanded with Sun World Sam Son, one of the largest outdoor amusement complexes in Northern Vietnam.

Mui Ne (Lam Dong) not only is famous for its peaceful and untouched scenery, but also has emerged as an attractive destination for sea lovers and a paradise for water sports. Known as the “wind shelter peninsula,” Mui Ne has long been legendary among wind lovers and is one of Southeast Asia’s top kitesurfing spots. With 50 meters of smooth golden sand, The Anam Mui Ne offers an ideal space for visitors to relax while watching colorful sails offshore and skilled kitesurfers performing on the blue sea.

Dai beach, one of Vietnam’s most beautiful beaches in the romantic Cam Ranh Peninsula in Khanh Hoa province, is known for its whitest and finest sand in the country. Its untouched beauty is enhanced by traditional fishing boats and distant poetic islands, especially Yen Island (Hon Noi), home to many swiftlets.

Da Nang owns some of the world’s most attractive beaches such as My Khe, Non Nuoc, Bac My An, and Nam O, with white sand, clear water, and gentle waves. Besides its diverse tourism ecosystem, the coastal city also offers colorful new experiences, especially on the legendary Ba Na Hills. This April, for the first time, an interactive light art space created by Chon Art with the theme “Origin” is introduced. The Sun Festival also opens during this period, bringing exciting performances, food activities, and premium craft beer experiences under the Ba Na brand.

Trend of short distance travel

Instead of choosing long trips far from home, many people now prefer short vacations that focus on convenience and quality experiences.

Bao Son Paradise Theme Park is a favorite nearby destination for many travelers.

Less than 60 km from Hanoi, Sun World Ha Nam is considered an ideal place to cool off in Northern Vietnam. Its highlight is the “Super Speed Twin Slide,” the first parallel tube racing slide system in Southeast Asia. The game features two identical slides with the same steep slopes and sharp turns, allowing couples to enjoy an exciting speed race.

During the upcoming holiday, the themed festival “Pony Land” will take place at Hanoi-based Bao Son Paradise Theme Park from April 25 to May 3, creating a colorful and lively festival space. Visitors can join many activities such as meeting mascots at “Pony Party and Colorful Friends,” enjoying the “Pinkie Pie Dance,” and watching circus and magic performances at the “Rainbow Animal Circus.”

A major highlight is the “Fantasy Show” featuring singer We Ji Su and a band from the Republic of Korea, adding more excitement to the festival. At the aquarium, the underwater show “Mermaid Pony and the Blue Ocean” will bring visitors into a magical ocean world. This festival season also marks the launch of Cosmos Theater – “Mystery Universe,” a new cinema space using naked-eye 3D visual technology with 10 films of different themes. At the same time, Castaway Lagoon Water Park will officially reopen. Bao Son Paradise Park also continues operating its full entertainment system, including the semi-wild Safari, Aquarium, Happy Farm, and many indoor and outdoor attractions.
