*During the Tet holiday, thousands of people also paid homage to General Vo Nguyen Giap. On February 10th (the 3rd of Lunar January) alone, around 15,000 visitors came and offered incense to the late General at his tomb in Vung Chua - Dao Yen in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district.
According to Senior Lieutenant Khac Ngoc Tan Hao, Head of the Guard Team at the General’s tomb, the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command and relevant forces increased the guard force to ensure the safety of visitors.
*According to the An Giang provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province attracted nearly 600,000 tourists during the Tet holiday, an increase of 87% against the previous Tet holiday. The total revenue from accommodation, food, shopping and entertainment services is estimated to reach more than VND 20 billion.
