The ceremony involved the re-enactment of a custom dating back to the time of the Tran dynasty (in the 13th century), when mandarins took out their seal-stamps after the Tet (lunar New Year) holiday to officially resume administrative activities.

The event started off with an incense offering, followed by a seal procession with the participation of 120 people, after which the seal-stamps were distributed to pagodas, temples and visitors.

This year’s event took place from 5.00 am on February 11. Apart from ensuring traffic order and safety, the organizers also prepared enough seal-stamps for all locals and visitors.
