The book entitled Le Guide du Routard 2009, one of the world’s the most prestigious tourism handbooks in the French language that introduces Vietnam, its people, culture and landscapes, is to debut for international readers in January 2009.
French journalist Olivier Page, one of the co-authors who contributed to the success of the book, has had a close link with Vietnam for more than 20 years now.
The changes of Vietnam have been obviously featured in the nearly 300 page-handbook.
Information supplied in the book will help foreigners, especially the French, to explore and approach Vietnam from many angles.
To add more information to the handbook, the French journalist Olivier Page visits Vietnam twice a year, and each trip lasts about two months. That is why the information in the handbook is always updated and it becomes a reliable friend to international tourists.
As a journalist and a tourist, Olivier Page has stopped in many regions across Vietnam. Though the journeys, he, a journalist-cum –tourist, incorporated his feelings into the book.
The handbook Le Guide du Routard 2009 will give readers a chance to find out more about Vietnam, especially on its preparation for the event of the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
