“Zero VND mini supermarket” program launched to support patients and medical staff
PANO – Military Hospital 175 of the Ministry of National Defense, in collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and local businesses, launched the “Zero VND mini supermarket” program at the Hospital for Traumatology and Orthopaedics’ compound on January 20.
In particular, each patient and medical staff is presented with a 400,000 VND voucher and can choose suitable items for their family's Tet (lunar New Year) holiday at the supermarket. As planned, the program will benefit hundreds of patients and medical staff.

Apart from selling goods, the organizers also hold various activities, including folk games and lots drawing, for patients with serious illnesses and medical staff working on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control.

Through the program, the organizers expect to share difficulties with inpatients, the hospital’s staff and workers, and families of troops working in Truong Sa island district and peacekeepers.
According to Deputy Director of Military Hopital 175 Senior Colonel Tran Quoc Viet, the program bears deeply humane significance, contributing to sharing difficulties with those who have to stay in the hospital during the lunar New Year.

He added that the gifts are source of encouragement for patients to overcome illnesses and medical staff to continue taking care of troops and treating COVID-19 patients and preventing the pandemic.
