Youths in Ho Chi Minh City act for the environment
PANO – Thousands of volunteers in Ho Chi Minh City actively participated in various activities in the 14th Hoa Phuong Do (Red Flamboyant) Volunteer Campaign on June 9.
Accordingly, they collected plastic bottles and nylon bags and made eco-bricks (made of a plastic bottle or container of some sort, including paper/laminate milk cartons). These activities aimed to raise the awareness of environmental protection of youths, children, and local people, so as to mobilize more people to build a green, clean, beautiful and civilized city.
Volunteers in District 3 of the city also conducted social activities at Binh Dan Hospital. Youths inquired after patients’ health and presented more than 300 gifts to needy ones to help ease their difficulties and pain.
