The survey was jointly conducted by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Mekong Development Research Institute (MDRI) under the support of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

UNDP Resident Representative in Vietnam Caitlin Wiesen said that Vietnam’s experience has proven to the world that trust and confidence of the people is the key to the success of the government’s pandemic response effort. The year 2022 is drawing near with unpredictable challenges because the pandemic still exists and is breaking out in many parts of the world.

The UNDP official believed that with prompt COVID-19 vaccination program in Vietnam in recent months and the support of local people as well as the Vietnamese government’s rapid and flexible response measures, Vietnam will overcome pandemic-caused challenges and recover soon.
