Up to 118 new COVID-19 cases recorded on June 15 morning
The national tally of COVID-19 infections rose to 10,999 after 118 more locally-transmitted cases were confirmed in the past six hours to 12pm on June 15, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Among the new cases, 69 were found in Bac Giang, which is the country’s current largest pandemic hotbed; 29 in Ho Chi Minh City, 15 in Bac Ninh, three in Ha Tinh, and one each in Hanoi and Lang Son.

So far, Vietnam has logged 9,356 domestic infections and 1,643 imported cases. The number of COVID-19 cases since April 27, when the latest outbreak began, amounted to 7,786. The death toll remained at 61.
Among active patients undergoing treatment at medical establishments, 431 have tested negative for coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, 72 twice and 73 thrice.
Twenty-three provinces have gone through 14 consecutive days without new cases.
In a bid to live safely with the pandemic, the MoH has called on citizens to follow the 5K message, including khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration), to help contain the outbreaks.
