Troubled trawler rescued at sea
PANO - Ship SAR 273 of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center on March 29 successfully towed the troubled boat NA 90558 TS with 16 crewmembers on board ashore.
Previously, the boat NA 90558 TS, captained by Tran Van Dinh from Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, went adrift due to engine failure about 100 nautical miles off Lach Quen port (Nghe An province). Furthermore, a crewmember on board had broken his arm. The captain sent a mayday signal.

After receiving the information, the center kept in touch with the boat, and sent ship SAR 273 to the scene to tow it ashore.
After more than ten hours, the rescue ship approached the distressed boat, and then towed it and all crewmembers on board ashore.
