Troubled crew-members rescued at sea
PANO – At 5:20 on August 11, ships SAR 412 and SAR 274 of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center successfully brought 11 distressed crew-members ashore, announced the center.
Earlier, at 2:21 on the same day, Ship Hai Ha 38 of the Ngoc Mai Marine Services and Trading Joint Stock Company (Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province) with 11 crew-members on board carrying 1,600 tons of bricks from Quang Ninh province to Can Tho city had trouble at about 16015’N-108022’E.

All crew-members were ready to leave the ship, except one that jumped to the sea out of fear and disappeared. The ship was about to sink in harsh weather condition.
After receiving the information, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center sent two ships to the scene for search and rescue missions. At 3:20, the two ships approached the troubled ship. Ship SAR 412 saved the ship while ship SAR 274 looked for the missing and took him ashore.
At 5:20 on the same day, all crew-members were safely taken ashore.
