This activity was part of a program “Sharing with teachers,” co-organized by the Vietnam Youth Federation, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Thien Long Group.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam spoke highly of initiatives and efforts of the Vietnam Youth Federation, in association with other relevant agencies and businesses, to hold such a meaningful program in the past four years.

At the honoring ceremony

The official thanked the honorees and underlined that they have shown their strong will, great perseverance and kind hearts, and overcome difficulties and bettered themselves during their task performance. They have set good examples for everybody to continue striving to become good citizens, contributing to the country.

He said that the number of disadvantaged children attending school remains low and asked the education sector and responsible agencies to encourage schools to receive more students with disabilities.  

Meanwhile, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Le Quoc Phong affirmed that the program aims to pay tribute to those who have been teaching students with disabilities in special education institutions and centers located in rural and border areas and on islands.

The organization panel also handed over them the merit certificates by the Vietnam Youth Federation and the Ministry of Education and Training, and savings books worth VND 10 million each.
