SMS campaign to raise money for needy people and AO victims
PANO - The Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee and the National Humanitarian Portal 1400 launched a text message campaign to raise money to support needy people and Dioxin/Agent Orange victims on the Lunar New Year Festival.

The campaign, which started from December 9, 2019 to February 7, 2020, aims to mobilize people to support needy households, AO victims, and natural disaster-hit people to welcome the Lunar New Year Festival.
Accordingly, benefactors can donate to the program by texting, “TET,” to 1409. Each text message will contribute VND 20,000 to the fund for people in need.
Launched since 2012, the “Tet for needy people and AO victims” text message program has helped tens of millions of people have an enjoyable Tet.
In 2019, the program raised VND 600 million.
