Quang Tri native named champion of 17th Road to Olympia Peak contest
PANO - Phan Dang Nhat Minh, a student from Hai Lang High School of Quang Tri province, was the winner at the final round of the 17th Road to Olympia Peak, Vietnam Television’s biggest and most renowned knowledge-based contest, held in Hanoi on August 27.
This is the second time that Quang Tri province's students have won such a contest. Two years ago, Van Viet Duc, from Quang Tri Town High School won the 15th Road to Olympia Peak contest.

Minh competed impressively in this momentous and exciting competition, winning 300 points to become the champion, fighting off stiff competition from three other contestants, Ha Viet Hoang (from the Hanoi-based Soc Son High School), Pham Tho Quoc Long (Tran Hung Dao High School for Gifted Students, Binh Thuan province) and Pham Huy Hoang of the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School.
With this win, Minh, nicknamed “Google boy”, received a USD 35,000 scholarship. His win was followed by Pham Huy Hoang (240 points), Ha Viet Hoang (235 points) and Pham Tho Quoc Long (80 points).
