According to the provincial People’s Committee, the program reflects the correct policies of the Party and State in disaster prevention. The initiative has garnered strong support, especially among low-income households. Timely funding from the Central government and local contribution have enabled the swift completion and use of these essential works. Non-governmental organizations and businesses have also played a significant role in backing these efforts.

However, the implementation of the project has faced challenges, such as delays due to a lack of land use planning and inaccurate beneficiary reviews, which have slowed down the process.

Besides, some localities have also experienced delays in fund disbursement and inspection, affecting the progress of the project.

Additionally, rising construction costs have posed difficulties for residents trying to meet building standards.

In the time ahead, the province plans to mobilize more resources to build an additional 400 floating houses, 6,000 flood-resistant towers, and 77 community shelters with a projected budget of 700 billion VND. The effort aims to further support residents in flood-prone areas across the province.
