Petrovietnam supports flood-hit localities
PANO - A mission of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), led by its Deputy Director Do Chi Thanh, arrived in flood-hit localities in the central region yesterday to assist local people in stabilizing their lives.

Particularly, the group handed over VND 4 billion to Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, and Quang Nam provinces, which were severely hit by the storm, to assist these localities in overcoming consequences of the sixth storm. The Trade Union of the Petrovietnam also presented VND 500 million to Thua Thien - Hue and Quang Tri provinces.
The same day, Youth Chapter of Petrovietnam worked with its War Veterans’ Association to raise funds for people in the central region. In the first 15 minutes of its launching, cadres and workers of agencies of Petrovietnam raised VND 100 million and a number of essential commodities.
The same day, in response to the call of the group’s leadership, its War Veterans’ Association and War Veterans’ Association of the Vietnam - Russia oil and gas joint venture Vietsovpetro also raised funds to support people affected by the storm.
