During the HCM City COVID-19 inoculation program, the volunteer teams will participate in various activities, namely assisting medical forces in receiving and instructing local people on how to make health declarations at COVID-19 vaccination sites; asking locals to strictly observe the Health Ministry’s 5K regulations and follow all procedures in the vaccination process; assigning waiting areas for people before and after getting vaccinated for COVID-19; providing information about post-infection symptoms, so on.
Reportedly, the young volunteer teams are among 14 rapid response teams set up to support the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control efforts of the city amid the recent COVID-19 outbreak.
The city’s youths have engaged in practical activities, such as collecting samples for COVID-19 testing, disseminating information about pandemic prevention measures, and assisting forces at medical checkpoints and quarantine facilities.
In addition, the youth union organizations also launched “Rice ATMs” and “Zero-VND Supermarkets” to help locals and young people affected by COVID-19.
