Numerous activities to mark International Francophone Day
PANO - Young French-speaking people across the country can participate in various cultural activities from March 16 on the occasion of the International Francophone Day (March 20).
The information was announced at a press conference to introduce the event on March 14 in Hanoi.
Speaking at the press conference, Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam Jehanne Roccas, Chairman of the Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations and Institutions (GADIF) affirmed that the Francophone community has been growing continually over the past years. Every year, French speakers around the world celebrate the International Francophone Day on March 20. Therefore, many cultural activities and workshops will take place on the occasion.
This year's event, under the theme "French-Connection to Action" will be officially held on March 16 under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, marking Vietnam's commitment to the Francophone Community. At the ceremony, GADIF will present French Youth and Honor Awards for winners in 2018.
Accordingly, various activities and cultural events to celebrate the International Francophone Day such as the French Film Festival and the Francophone Cultural Festival at Hanoi University; the workshop "Unity in Ethnic Cultural Diversity: Sharing experiences between Morocco and Vietnam", will be held throughout the country.
This is a special occasion for French-language lovers to share their cultural values, solidarity, enthusiasm and commitment with various Francophone activities.
