This year’s event brings together 63 VJA’s chapters from 63 cities and provinces nationwide and 60 central and local press agencies with 87 booths displaying their outstanding publications in 2022 and the first quarter of this year.

In the framework of the festival, various activities are held, such as a seminar themed “Journalism culture” organized by military press agencies; a seminar titled “Reunion for top winners of National Press Awards,” a contest “Voice of Journalists” in 2023, among others.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that this is an important and meaningful activity, and also an occasion to honor the revolutionary press force while promoting their political stance and professionalism during their task implementation.

He requested press agencies and journalists to continue to observe the Party’s viewpoints, guidelines, directives and resolutions so as to build a professional, cultural and modern revolutionary journalism, among others.

After the opening ceremony, which was broadcast live on national television and radio channels, the organizers will launch the press awards in 2023 on disseminating the thrift and effective use of energy, and open a photo exhibition.

They will also present awards for the best Tet (lunar New Year) magazine cover photo, the best news website design, and the best TV and radio programs, along with an award for organizations and individuals with outstanding activities at the festival.

There will be a series of sidelines events like seminars, workshops, exhibitions, a singing contest, a football tournament and art performances.

The festival is scheduled to last until March 19 and opens everyday from 8:00 to 18:00.
