National flags presented to fishermen in Thua Thien Hue

The units present national flags to fishermen in Thuan An ward, Hue city.

It was part of activities in the framework of the program entitled “One million national flags for fishermen” launched by the Laborer Newspaper.

Addressing the handover ceremony, Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong emphasized that the fishery sector plays an important role in the province’s economic development, creating jobs, improving local fishermen’s income, and raising the quality of their socio-economic life.

Over the past years, the province has always stood side by side with fishermen and effectively implemented policies on fishery development.

The gifts will be a source of spiritual encouragement for local fishermen to overcome their difficulties and continue their work and production, contributing to firmly safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands.

At the ceremony, the organizing panel handed over 10,000 national flags and 10 first aid kits to local fishermen.
