The program was run by the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, with the aim of developing young human resources for mountainous areas and islands.

The program included projects of Thap sang tuong lai (Illuminating the Future), "Mo duong tuong lai” (Opening future path), "Uom mam tuong lai" (Nurturing The Future), and "Chap canh uoc mo" (Giving Wings to Your Dreams).

Outstanding individuals received the certificates of merit with their great contributions for the program

The program has so far received more than VND 270 billion to build 146 houses, 29 bridges in rural areas, 16 schools, 6 roads, and to support thousands of poor people, ethnic minorities, fishermen, and needy students in 55 localities across the country.

Every year, 8,000 scholarships are given to ethnic minority students, and children of fishermen and troops working on islands.

The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, established in 1999 by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, aims to support ethnic minority students who are from poor families and achieve outstanding academic records
