Patient Osadtsi Eduard under the hospital's care |
The patient was found in deep coma, lying on the roadside in Quan Hoa street, Cau Giay district at 05:30 on April 15. Many bruises were spotted on his body and he was bleeding heavily. Having found the patient, locals called emergency aid center 115 and the patient was hospitalized to Hospital E.
At the hospital, the patient was diagnosed with having a traumatic brain injury and was given first aid and a brain scan.
Then, the hospital’s doctors decided to operate on the patient.
The day after the operation, the patient showed signs of regaining consciousness.
According to Hospital E’s Director Le Ngoc Thanh, if the patient suffering from such a traumatic brain injury had not undergone the urgent surgery to remove the resulting hematoma in a timely manner, he could have died. Therefore, with kind hearts, doctors tried to save the patient at any cost though he had no ID card or money and despite the complicated nature of the procedure.
The patient is now recovering and could be discharged as early as next week.
