The association will make more efforts to take care of AO/Dioxin victims.

Addressing the event, Major General Tran Ngoc Tho, the association’s Chairman, said that more than 4.8 million people in Vietnam have been exposed to Agent Orange/Dioxin. Only 5,000 people out of over 19,700 victims in Ho Chi Minh City receive allowance and healthcare support from the Party and State. Therefore, further support from organizations and individuals to help AO/Dioxin victims overcome challenges are valuable.

He said that in the coming time, the city will foster cooperation with other domestic and international organizations and connect the community to take better care of AO/Dioxin victims.

On the occasion, the association suggested to form ten sub-associations in ten districts in the city to contribute to easing the pain of AO/Dioxin victims.
