Ho Chi Minh City honors outstanding young citizens

At the event, the organizer presented the title of “Ho Chi Minh City’s Outstanding Young Citizens” to 12 youths, who have persistently pursued their dreams and aspirations, creatively applied hi-techs to reality, and observed healthy and responsible lifestyles.

Launched in 2006, the “Ho Chi Minh City’s Outstanding Young Citizens” program has honored 111 youths with contributions to the development of the city.

After the ceremony, the Youth Union Chapter of Ho Chi Minh City kicked off a movement prior to the 90th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26). Particularly, youths in the Southern hub will launch an application to provide readers with information related to the Base of the Youth Chapter of Ho Chi Minh City during the resistance war against U.S. imperialists and present ten houses to needy youth union members. The youth union chapter will also hold other activities to give local youth an opportunity to demonstrate their responsibility for the development of the city in particular and the nation in general.

The honoring event was part of the activities to celebrate the success of the 11th Congress of the municipal Party Organization for the 2020-2025 term, welcome the 13th National Party Congress, and mark the 91st founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 90th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
