Health sector ready for APEC 2017 Economic Leaders' Week in Da Nang
PANO - A delegation of the Ministry of Health, headed by Deputy Minister Le Quang Cuong, worked with Da Nang city’s health sector and discussed their preparations for the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders' Week on September 28.
Accordingly, the local health sector has taken measures to ensure services for the upcoming international event, such as setting up 17 medical teams at 17 hotels in the city and operating nine additional teams at Da Nang and Da Nang hospitals and the affiliated seven-districts’ medical centers. These hospitals were asked to formulate specific plans, particularly focusing on how to separate regular patients from patients among the APEC 2017 delegates.
In addition, the city’s authorities assigned 14 ambulances to the medical teams and the Military Region 5 Command sent a helicopter to Son Tra Peninsula in case the need arises for transporting and providing first aid for patients. The local medical sector has also made a list of safe restaurants to serve the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders' Week.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister Cuong highly valued the preparations of the city’s medical sector and pledged to send top medical experts to assist them in case of request or emergency.
