To be more specific, people who rendered service to the nation, heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids and sick soldiers will receive presents worth from 1.7 million VND (73.22 USD) to VND 3.1 million (USD 133,53) each.

For 26,000 policy beneficiaries, each will receive VND 1.3 million (USD 55.99) in support while the amount for poor and near-poor families is VND 1.1 million (USD 47.38).

In addition, the financial assistance to people who live in social protection centers and the old aged 80 and above is VND 1.3 million each.

According to Director of the municipal Department of Labor, Invalid and Social Affairs Le Minh Tan, the city will present Tet gifts to ethnic minority people and religious organizations towards building a city in which no one is left behind.

The municipal People’s Committee has asked districts, agencies and businesses to ensure a warm Tet for local residents, as well as organize cultural, sport and entertainment activities on the occasion.
