In nine months of 2022, the city’s Red Cross societies at all levels have deployed numerous programs in accordance with the direction of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee and Party Committee and reached positive outcomes.

Presenting gifts to needy people

Several activities have been deployed effectively such as the “Tet (lunar New Year) for the needy and Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims” movement, contributing to ensuring social welfare in the city.

In addition, the city’s Red Cross Society held a humanitarian activity, worth VND 9.3 billion in total, in 26 provinces and cities nationwide.

During the event

The organization has presented gifts, built houses, provided healthcare, and given learning tools to needy students in remote and mountainous areas.

It has also organized blood donation programs and collected over 200,000 blood units while providing nearly 75,700 free sets of meals, worth VND 1.8 billion in total, for patients under treatment at hospitals.

At the event, Chairman of the Hanoi Red Cross Society Dao Ngoc Trieu, announced orientations and plans of the Vietnam Red Cross Society for the 2022-2027 period, and major goals of the Hanoi Red Cross Society for the three remaining months of 2022.
