Accordingly, half of the raised sum, including VND 1 billion from the fundraising held by State President Tran Dai Quang, is used to build rural bridges and the other half is for the local study promotion funds of 12 districts and towns in Dong Thap province. Additionally, three gratitude houses, worth VND 50 million each donated by the Public Security Newspaper, will be built for needy policemen.

Over the past nearly four decades, the association has implemented a number of meaningful activities in Dong Thap province, including poverty reduction, gratitude activities, study promotion, and infrastructure projects like rural road and bridge building and public healthcare.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap provincial People's Committee Chau Hong Phuc highly appreciated the State President’s care and acknowledged the contribution of the association. He hoped the association would continue to mobilize more donation from natives of Dong Thap to build it a prosperous province. On the other hand, he also required the beneficiaries use the fund for the right purposes, contributing to poverty reduction, and improving quality of people's life.
