Distressed trawler saved at sea
PANO - Ship KN 366 of Fisheries Resources Surveillance No.3 on August 15 successfully towed a troubled trawler, numbered QB 92345 TS with eight fishermen on board, to Ly Son Island.
Earlier, the trawler, captained by Nguyen Van Chien from Hai Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, went adrift due to engine failure about 120 nautical miles of Ly Son Island.
After receiving the mayday signal, Ship KN 366 was sent to the scene to save the trawler.
Despite bad weather, the ship approached the drifting trawler and towed it with all crew-members ashore.
