Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung (C) inquiring after flood-hit people in Binh Dinh province

The Deputy PM inquired after and presented gifts to the family of victim Nguyen Duc Thang, an 8th grade student from Nhon An Secondary School of An Nhon town, who had been swept away by the flood.

The same day, the Deputy PM visited Phuoc Quang commune of Tuy Phuoc district, the worst-hit area by the recent flood in the locality. Thousands of houses were inundated by the flooding and it was very hard for the local people in the water-isolated communes to make any movement.

During the visit, Deputy PM Dung expressed his sympathy for locals' huge losses and hoped that they would overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives soon.

The Deputy PM asked the local authorities to roll out measures to assist the flood-hit families to overcome difficulties while mobilizing forces to help locals repair their houses so that they could resume normal lives and production after the flood.

Deputy PM Dung directed relevant ministries and sectors to help Binh Dinh overcome consequences of the disaster, especially restoring damaged roads, as well as timely deliver aid to flood victims to ensure no one suffers from hunger.
