Participating in this drill were military, public security, health, environmental forces, the National Southern Oil Spill Response Center (NASOS) and the US Navy.

The scenario was that an oil tanker operating on the Han River crashed into a cruise ship, causing an oil spill and forcing tourists to jump into the river. The city Border Guard Command was ordered to deploy four ships, seven canoes and 100  troops to team up with other rescue forces to take rescue missions. The joint forces gave first aid and detoxification to troubled tourists.

After that, they approached the distressed tanker, put the oil spill under control and remove oil from the river surface with specialized equipment to prevent oil from spreading along the shoreline, and carried out fire prevention measures.

The two-hour exercise concluded successfully with absolute safety on human and vehicles.

Here are some photos of the exercise.
