Contest raises children's awareness of UXO accidents
PANO – The Vietnam National Mine Action Center (VNMAC) in association with the Ca Mau Provincial People’s Committee has just launched a contest themed “School ambassadors in information dissemination of prevention of unexploded ordnance (UXO) accidents” at Vo Thi Sau Secondary School in Ca Mau City.

Running until October 30, the month-long contest aims to raise children’s awareness of UXO dangers, especially in the areas that are severely contaminated by UXO in Ca Mau city and Tran Van Thoi district.
Participants should send different entries such as paintings, plays, stories, poems, and photographs to the contest.
The award ceremony of the contest will be held in November this year.
On the occasion, the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs handed over gifts and VND 12 million in cash to 20 UXO victims.
