The information was announced at a press conference held by the British Business Group Vietnam (BBGV) on October 18 in Hanoi.

The event aims to promote sportsmanship among people, motivate the community to exercise and raise money for charity in Vietnam in various fields such as education, health, disaster prevention with the hope of creating a better life for the Vietnamese people.

"The event is held to support charitable organizations throughout Vietnam in implementing projects to raise people's intellectual standards, improve working capacity and enhance community cohesion. We hope that this year's event will see the participation of nearly 7,000 people, raising VND 700 million (USD 29,981) for projects and programs to create positive and sustainable changes in the lives of needy people in Vietnam,” said Christopher Jeffery, Vice Chairman of the British Business Group Vietnam.

Participants will walk or run 5km around Ecopark, join a flash mob dance, as well as enjoy Da LAB's music performances, lucky draw, food festival and photo contest.

The third BBGV Charity Fun Run, held in 2017, attracted 6,000 participants and raised VND 600 million (USD 25,698) for Vietnamese charities.

During the past 18 years, this annual event has attracted more than 100,000 people in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and raised over VND 10 billion (USD 428,300) for charitable activities in Vietnam.
