PANO - Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. on November 1st handed over class rooms, a toilet and hand-washing areas to Phu Lam 2 Kindergarten in An Phu village, Phu Lam commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province, as part of the “Canon friendship school chain” project in 2014.      

Headmaster of Phu Lam 2 kindergarten Do Thi Xuan expressed the gratitude to Canon Vietnam for making their dream of a spacious school come true, affirming that Canon Vietnam’s sponsorship for the school construction has helped education and development of children in the locality.      

In order to improve the educational environment for teachers and pupils withl difficulties, and to encourage the study spirit of pupils, since 2009, “Canon friendship school chain” project has helped 38 friendship schools in 17 provinces in the North and Central region of Vietnam to build 94 new classrooms, 2 teacher rooms, 14 standard toilets and hand washing areas, and give them 380 bicycles. In 2014 , besides building new classrooms, toilets and hand washing areas, Canon also visited and presented cameras, printers, PCs, Canon bookshelves, and bunk beds to schools in the program.

Addressing the hand-over ceremony, Canon Vietnam’s Director General Katsuyoshi Soma promised to continue to contribute more to Vietnam education, and to the industrialization, modernization and development of Vietnam’s society.
