PANO – The Cho Don District People’s Committee and Canon Ltd. Vietnam held a ceremony on December 23rd to open local Cannon-Na Ban Friendship School in Xuan Lac Commune, Cho Don, Bac Kan Province.

This was one of the two schools within the “Cannon Friendship School Chain” that the company had built with total investment of VND 2 billion, including VND 800 million from the local budget for the locality.

The new school has 5 new rooms, two homes for teachers, 65 new sets of desks and chairs, book-cases and other subprojects serving in teaching and learning. 

On the occasion, the Company also offered 120 gifts of books and learning aids to local students to encourage them to gain better results in their studies.

Earlier, more than 50 volunteers of the “Cannon voluntary network on socio-cultural activities” overcame crooked paths, mountains, forests and streams to arrive in Na Ban to support local people and students in tidying the school and their living places.

They also presented gifts to local students and people and held an art and cultural exchange evening, bringing joyful atmospheres to the locality in the run-up to the New Year.
