The Nghi Tam flower market in Hanoi’s Tay Ho district is considered the centre of flower villages in the capital city. As the traditional lunar New Year festival is drawing near, the market is more crowded than ever.

These days, the volume of flowers transported from flower villages and other nearby areas is four or five times higher than usual.

Despite the piercing cold of an early winter morning, the market attracts a large number of wholesalers and even visitors who are curious to see the bustling trade activity and buy flowers directly from growers.
